The public indeed seemed tensed after the strange message, Model CX could feel that. Who wouldn't? Christopher had been very worried too when he played the message for the first time.
Still, something kept nagging at the Biometal. He knew there seemed to be the presence of other Biometals nearby, but he couldn't really locate them due to his own efforts at concealing his presence from them. He could drop his concealment, then he would be able to know where they are, but then they would know about a third Biometal. He preferred to remain hidden for now.
"This would indeed be a strange and grim message that was brought on us." Christopher said after the message was over, letting the public take in the revelation. "Just as it would leave us more questions as what exactly happened.
There was yet more informations in that capsule. Most of it however appears to be pictures, yet aside from that audio recording, there was a video one.
I'm not entirely certain as to the meaning of that video, but I shall let all of you being judge about it."
A large screen stood out behind Christopher, before it sparked to life, to play out the video recording...
---
At first, it was only a haze of disturbances, before a clear image finally sparked to life.
Ruins. There were many metallic ruins all around, somewhat buried in a sandy ground. The 'camera' seemed to be looking around...taking in the details of the fact that it was not along in those remains.
Other humans and reploids were there, actively searching throughout the ruins, looking for something.
The 'camera' walked forward, before it became evident in the way it moved that this recording had literally been taken from one's direct point of view, from one's own eyes, and not from a camera.
A reploid glanced toward the watcher, before he suddenly straightened and made somewhat of salute motion. "General in the field!" that reploid yelled.
At once, everyone around stood out, seemingly making a salute of their own...to the watcher.
The watcher looked around, at every of the humans and reploids that were looking at him...before he sighed and replied. "At ease. Go on." he said.
With a voice that virtually sounded the same as the one that had spoken in the recording.
"General? You weren't expected until 2 hours sir..." a voice came in. The watcher turned, before he found himself facing a somewhat larger reploid, before looking upward.
The reploid was mostly red and humanoid in form, but its facce was clearly draconic in design.
In a truly forgotten time...that Reploid was in fact known as Magma Dragoon...
"I thought I had to check on the progresses a bit sooner..." the watcher said. "How's it going Dragoon?"
The larger reploid sighed somewhat before shaking his head negatively. "We haven't found anything so far...Nothing about him...Just as there might be nothing left of him..."
The watcher lowered his view a bit, looking more downward. "Sir...We understand why you wanted that we tried to look for him...But then...we all knew the chances of finding him wouldn't be that immense..."
"I know..." the watcher replied, still looking downward. "But I was hoping we could find something...
Now it means...we have no more heroes."
"That's not true. You've been a hero in your own way. You have made differences in your own way. I am certain there is still much more you can do for this world."
The watcher raised his view, looking back into the face of the draconic reploid who gazed back with a determined look.
"Thanks Dragoon..."
A frown then came upon the face of the red reploid, named Dragoon. "There would be another thing to speak of sir..."
"Something else?"
The mood on the draconic reploid's face darkened. "Some of us haven't been feeling well around here...Many feel a bit...troubled...About this place...Me too as well..."
The watcher's face looked upward for a moment, giving view to a clear blue sky, before the eyes closed, temporarily making the view dark. Then, the eyes opened, and the watcher looked back at the red draconic reploid.
"Odd. I can't sense anything wrong around here. Whatever everyone's feeling...it doesn't seems to be abnormal.
Come to think of it...maybe it's just that everyone here is on edge...considering the fact we might just be standing upon his...burial ground..."
The draconic reploid showed a somewhat uncertain expression, before another voice called out.
"General! Commander!" a human called out. "Group 6 found something!"
The watcher looked straight at the draconic reploid, before they both clearly started to run in the man's direction, and went past him, and finally got to a slightly different area of the ruined place, where the 'Group 6' was. More humans and reploids.
"What is it?" the draconic reploid asked. "What did you found?"
The Group 6 seemed a bit uncertain...before one of them spoke. "This sir...We found this. It was almost buried in the sand..."
That reploid extended its hand, before handing out something to the watcher, who took it, and looked at what it was.
A helmet. A mostly red helmet. It was pretty much cracked and broken everywhere upon it, with the signs of a hole that was made in the back, but that hole clearly seemed part of the helm's design.
The watcher kept staring and slowly turn the helm in his white hands, before making it face the front side toward him.
"Sir?"
The watcher(or General) spoke, his voice almost silent, saddened.
"Have this sent to Doctor Ciel...
...She'll appreciate the gesture..."
And with that, the watcher handed over the helm to the draconic reploid before he started to walk away...
...and the vision became troubled, filled with parasites, and faded back to black, the recording finished...
---
Christopher looked a bit troubled as he too watched the video recording with the rest of the public. And even today, he didn't entirely understood the meaning behind that recording. The audio one was understandable...but the video one...It always seemed odd...
((In case you didn't understood, the video was a recording taken from CX's point of view. He and those with him(including Dragoon) were upon the crash site of the Ragnarok station(which ultimately became Area M in Megaman ZX) and I think you can probably guess what they tried to look for here...
Post time again. And I'll be away for a few days, just to warn out.))
