Thank you, Nimini, Essai. I'm glad you find them acceptable. It was a lot of fun to draw them.

Well, I really didn't think I could pull this all off in one night, but for some reason or another I just went for it and I managed to get the color versions done too. :) I find I correct a lot of my drawing mistakes in the inking/CGing phase, I guess it forces me to get a good look at the drawing so I can see what I did and didn't do right. These still aren't perfect or anything, but I feel they are an improvement over the pencil work. Have a look see for yourselves:

I just love the way the eyes turned out here. Don't they just look devious?

My stylized version won't be ready until sometime next week, I'm sorry to say. I'm going to be trying a new technique with a program I'm not all that familiar with, so I need time to complete it. But If you like these, I'm pretty sure what I have coming up will be interesting too, I plan on putting much more time and effort into it. If you've observed the style of recent Final Fantasy monsters, you'll most likely see the influence in the next work.

Until then, I hope you can get some enjoyment from these.

*Edited*

Ok, I got the stylized version done. It turned out almost as good as I hoped it would, not bad for a Painter X novice work. Did the wings, claws, teeth, eyes, shines, and "bell" (I have no idea what that thing is) in Photoshop Elements, but the rest was done in Painter X. It looks a lot different from the game graphics, but I think it's easy to tell that it's the same creature, looking at the features.

And that about does it for my pics for this request! It was a lot of fun trying this and I hope you all enjoy my efforts. Thanks for posting the request, Essai, it was a blast.

Hey Jet, would I possibly be able to get you to do some monster designs for a story I am working on? Even if it only makes it to written format, it would be nice to have visual reps of some of the creatures.

Also, how good are you at doing people and comic art?

Hm, I don't know if Jet comes around here often, so you might have a better chance sending her a note on deviantART though. I can't remember her dA user name though.
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Aaaaah, Ahhhh! Sorry guys. I've been tangled up in artsy related stuff. I have a comic on the go right now that's probably going to take me all year to do (Mega Man Zero) and I have two contest entries to finish, but Micha, I have come by and seen your request, and I'd be happy to oblige. Yes, I draw people ( although admittedly not as well as I do robots/monsters and yes, I do comic pages. (did you see my entry into the X5 collab? It's up there!)

We can discuss this over PM more if you want, I'm not sure if this is the proper thread to discuss this. I don't have a Deviant Art account (shock), just so you know, I'm waiting until I get better for that. But the answer is yes, I'd like to help out with this story you're working on. Would you be satisfied with just detailed sketches for now? I have a lot on my plate as it is, but I'd like to help.

To everyone else, thanks for all the feedback on my art. I'm glad it seems to fit the peg.
