Well, I really didn't think I could pull this all off in one night, but for some reason or another I just went for it and I managed to get the color versions done too.
I find I correct a lot of my drawing mistakes in the inking/CGing phase, I guess it forces me to get a good look at the drawing so I can see what I did and didn't do right. These still aren't perfect or anything, but I feel they are an improvement over the pencil work. Have a look see for yourselves:

My stylized version won't be ready until sometime next week, I'm sorry to say. I'm going to be trying a new technique with a program I'm not all that familiar with, so I need time to complete it. But If you like these, I'm pretty sure what I have coming up will be interesting too, I plan on putting much more time and effort into it. If you've observed the style of recent Final Fantasy monsters, you'll most likely see the influence in the next work.

Ok, I got the stylized version done. It turned out almost as good as I hoped it would, not bad for a Painter X novice work. Did the wings, claws, teeth, eyes, shines, and "bell" (I have no idea what that thing is) in Photoshop Elements, but the rest was done in Painter X. It looks a lot different from the game graphics, but I think it's easy to tell that it's the same creature, looking at the features.
And that about does it for my pics for this request! It was a lot of fun trying this and I hope you all enjoy my efforts. Thanks for posting the request, Essai, it was a blast.
